The circuit was created using existing roads around Albert Park Lake in Melbourne. Construction began in 1995 and the first F1 race was held in 1996, replacing Adelaide as the home of the Australian Grand Prix.

The inaugural race was held in 2004, won by Michael Schumacher. It has been a fixture on the F1 calendar ever since.

Albert Park is a fast semi-street circuit that winds around a beautiful lake. The track is known for being bumpy and slippery early in the weekend, with grip improving as sessions progress. Multiple DRS zones create great overtaking opportunities, and Melbourne's unpredictable weather can shake up any race.

Melbourne is one of the most spectator-friendly races on the calendar with a four-day schedule packed with on-track action. The city is world-class — known for its coffee culture, incredible food scene, and vibrant nightlife. Albert Park is easily accessible from the CBD by free trams on race weekend.

The Paddock Club above the pit lane offers the ultimate view. For grandstand tickets, the Fangio Grandstand gives you start/finish action while the Brabham Grandstand offers views of the first chicane battles.
